I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was excellent, just a short walk into York, and there were some lovely restaurants around the corner. The room was upgraded on a quiet night, and I even had a superb swimming pool for an early morning dip. However, the property was in need of a total makeover.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and a good size for all of us, and I believe I paid for breakfast when I booked the room. The service was exceptional, from the welcoming and helpful staff to the housekeeping and tour assistance provided. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the Roman walls of York and the center of town. The dining was enjoyable, with friendly staff and freshly cooked meals to order. Overall, a lovely experience with great value for money.

While the location was excellent and close to main attractions, the rooms were uncomfortably hot without the heating on, and the bathroom was very out of date.
